Suboxone is a prescription medication used in the treatment of opioid dependence and addiction. It contains a combination of two active ingredients: buprenorphine and naloxone.
Buprenorphine is a partial opioid agonist that works by binding to the same receptors in the brain as opioids, reducing cravings and withdrawal symptoms without producing the same intense high.
